Application Grid

An Application Grid solution will allow you to offer the ability for end customers to extend the compute layer of their own grid environment in a fast and cost-effective way.

With an Application Grid service, customers extend their grid (which could be in their customer site or at your data center) by re-assigning additional server assets, made available by you the provider, to their grid. This prevents the customer from having to acquire additional hardware; instead, computational resources are essentially rented for a period of time. Customers with very large computations or a sudden peak in demand can avoid the delays that would result from physically acquiring and assembling a large number of additional computers.
